Unfortunately, our busy lives dont usually offer opportunities to nap in the afternoon. In general, sufficient sleep is considered a regular component of a healthy lifestyle. Sleep deprivation is a known stressor and should be avoided whenever possible. Insufficient sleep can contribute to high blood pressure, diabetes, impaired mental ability, and other health problems. However, afternoon naps may also interfere with your nighttime sleep, which is important in the regulation of hormones, the bodys immune system, and other processes.
