Research Says Heart Medications May Also Help the Brain

Recent studies show an association between several heart drugs and cognitive health, but interpret the results cautiously.

The commonly held opinion that whats good for the heart is good for the brain usually refers to behaviors such as lowering blood pressure or exercising. But several studies in 2013 found that various medications designed to maintain heart health suggest that they may preserve brain health, too.
