Thinking, I hope I never get breast cancer or I hope I dont get heart disease is normal. But we might fail to consider that its possible to get both. Women with heart disease can develop breast cancer, and certain breast cancer treatments may cause heart disease. Ideally, medical care for these women should be coordinated by a team of physicians comfortable treating both diseases.
