Two recent studies confirm the wisdom of participating in regular exercise, regardless of your age or weight. One study found that seniors with a lifelong habit of regular exercise had hearts that were at least as healthy as those of whippersnappers half their age. Perhaps more surprisingly, a different study found that fit seniors who were overweight or obese were less likely to die from their coronary artery disease than unfit seniors who were thin.
