Regular Exercise Helps Maintain Hearts Elasticity As You Age

Research also shows that consistent exercise reduces your risk of coronary artery disease.

Two recent studies confirm the wisdom of participating in regular exercise, regardless of your age or weight. One study found that seniors with a lifelong habit of regular exercise had hearts that were at least as healthy as those of whippersnappers half their age. Perhaps more surprisingly, a different study found that fit seniors who were overweight or obese were less likely to die from their coronary artery disease than unfit seniors who were thin.
