Annual Flu Vaccinations May Protect the Heart, Too

Research suggests that a flu shot may help lower your risk of heart attack.

If youve already gotten your annual flu shot, you may have done more than protected yourself against the seasonal illness. A study published earlier this year in the journal Heart, suggests that a flu vaccine can reduce your risk of having a heart attack this winter by 45 percent.
