If youre one of the more than 100 million Americans who take antioxidant supplements, you may be doing more harm than good. In February 2007, the American Medical Association published results from a review of 68 randomized trials revealing that the use of antioxidant supplements may increase your risk of death. Nearly a quarter of a million people were studied in these trials and all were taking beta carotene, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, or selenium in supplement form.
