Study: Wrist-Worn Heart Rate Monitors Not Always Accurate

Cleveland Clinic researchers note that the popular devices arent as consistent as the traditional 24-hour monitors worn around the chest.

They may be more comfortable and convenient than a heart rate monitor worn around the chest, but new wrist-worn monitors may not be as accurate. Thats according to a Cleveland Clinic study published recently in JAMA Cardiology, which looked at this slice of the personal fitness tracker market-one that is expected to reach $19 billion by2018.
