Mobile Stroke Unit Provides Patients Life-Saving Treatments

Cleveland Clinic researchers find that treatment with tPA can begin much sooner if patients are treated on the road instead of at the hospital.

If you’re having a stroke, the faster you can be evaluated and treated, the greater the odds of having a positive outcome. The use of a mobile stroke unit, in which paramedics are in contact with a neuroradiologist and stroke physician at a hospital, may be able to save valuable time in responding to stroke patients.
