Dietitians have long counted avocados as a health food. The creamy green orbs are high in fiber, low in sugar and rich in monounsaturated fats, which help lower LDL cholesterol. They are also excellent sources of magnesium, folate, potassium, copper and vitamins K, C, E and B6.
