Treat Depression to Cut the Risk of Stroke or Ease Stroke Recovery

Depression is a condition often associated with poor medical outcomes related to a range of health challenges, such as heart disease, in part because depressed individuals tend to exercise less, eat a poor diet, abuse alcohol or drugs, and fail to follow their doctors’ advice on medications and other matters.
