Cardiac Risk from Prostate Cancer Treatment Explained

Androgen-deprivation therapy (ADT) with a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GrRH) receptor agonist or GrRH antagonist plus radiotherapy is the cornerstone of treatment for prostate cancer. However, ADT increases cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk, making CVD the leading cause of death in men with prostate cancer. Now, the reasons for this have been explained.
