Q. I have type 2 diabetes and am trying to eat better and exercise more. I sweat a lot when I exercise. My kids think I need sports drinks. Would they be good for me?

A

Sports drinks are designed to replenish the electrolytes, glucose and fluids athletes lose during intense exercise and to restore energy. They also benefit others who are engaged in strenuous nonathletic activity.
