Which symptoms suggest a heart attack — and which don’t?

Case 1: A 70-year-old man reports knife-like pain in his chest. “Where’s it hurt?” the doctor asks. “Here,” he says, pointing with one finger to the left side of his rib cage. The pain is worse when he takes a deep breath, or moves his arms.
