Ask the Doctor
Ever since I started menopause, my heart flutters from time to time. It usually lasts several seconds. Is this normal? Extra heartbeats, or palpitations, are one of the most common symptoms during and after menopause. Most women describe the sensation as fluttering, flip-flops or skipped beats. Some say it is worse at night, and that they can hear their heart beating. It can also occur as a pounding in the chest, dizziness or feeling of lightheadedness. Subscribers: Non-subscribers: |
