The Truth About Statins
Myth: "Statins damage the liver." Truth: According to Dr. Leslie Cho of Cleveland Clinic, it is very rare for statins to cause liver damage. In some patients, statins do cause levels of certain liver enzymes to rise. This benign, transient condition is known as liver function test elevation (LFTE).
