If you’ve been following the news about painkillers, it may remind you of reading about eggs a few years ago — now they’re good for you, now they’re bad, but wait, maybe they’re really okay for some people after all, just not too often.

The good news is that the recent uproar over painkiller safety has forced doctors to take a hard look at data on prescription and non-prescription painkillers. Researchers are likely to keep looking, as they have for at least the past four years.
