Ask the Doctors: 12/05
I had an ultrasound of my heart recently, and the technician performing it wouldnt tell me anything about what he saw. He said I would have to wait for my doctor to call me. Its been two days now, and Im still waiting. Dont you think patients should be able to get at least some preliminary information sooner? The same thing happened to me last year when I had an MRI. The silence can be frustrating, and trigger fears that your technician harbors secrets about your condition. But the people performing your test arent in a position to draw any firm conclusions from what they see. Subscribers: Non-subscribers: |
